How to Activate and Set Up Your AI Local SEO Agent

Set up your AI Agent in about 2 minutes: connect Google and choose your business.

AI Agent works on your Google Business Profile for you: he replies to reviews, posts updates, and keeps your business info complete, so more people find you on Google Search and Maps. To do this, he needs access to your profile. This guide shows how to give it, step by step.

You'll need the Google account that manages your Business Profile. This is usually the account you used to create the profile or the one your profile manager added.

Not sure which account it is? Open business.google.com and look at the account in the top right corner. If you see your business there, this is the right account.

Someone else manages your profile? For example, an employee, a partner or a marketing agency. Ask them to add your Google account to the profile in Google Business Profile, then connect with that account.

Right after you start your trial, you'll see Connect your Google Business Profile on the AI Agent page.

1. Click Connect with Google.

2. Google opens. Sign in or choose the account that manages your Business Profile.

Google will show you two screens.

First screen: choose an account. Pick the account that manages your Business Profile. Google shares your name, email and profile picture with TrustHero so you can sign in.

Second screen: allow access to your Business Profile. Make sure the box next to See, edit, create and delete your Google business listings is checked, then click Continue.

Important: if this box is unchecked, AI Agent won't get access to your profile and you'll have to connect again. Why Google uses these words is explained below.

You'll see this step only if you've signed in with more than one Google account. Click the account that manages your Business Profile. Not in the list? Click Use another Google account.

You'll see Signed in to Google successfully and all businesses this Google account manages, even if there is only one. Click your business to connect it.

• Below the list you'll see which Google account you signed in with. Don't see your business? Click Use another Google account.

• If you manage 7 or more businesses, use the search above the list to find yours by name or address.

You'll see You're all set: your business is connected. Click Meet your AI Agent to see what he does and how to manage him.

Good to know: you don't need to add AI Agent as a manager of your profile yourself. We invite him automatically as aiagent@trusthero.io. You may get an email from Google about it, no action needed.

"We didn't find any businesses." You signed in with a Google account that doesn't manage any Business Profile. Often it's a personal account. Click Use another Google account and sign in with the right one. Not sure which one it is? Follow the tips under How to find the right account on the same screen.

"AI Agent doesn't have access yet." The box next to See, edit, create and delete your Google business listings was unchecked on Google's screen. Click Connect with Google again and check the box.

"We couldn't load your businesses." This is usually temporary. Click Try again. If it keeps happening, contact our support.

You clicked Cancel or closed Google. Nothing is connected yet. You'll be back on the Connect your Google Business Profile step. Click Connect with Google to try again.

Why does AI Agent need access to my Google profile?

That's where he does his work: replies to reviews, posts updates and keeps your business info complete. Without access, he can't do any of this.

Is it safe to connect my Google account?

Yes. You sign in on Google's own page, and we never see your password. Google shares your name, email and profile picture so you can sign in, and gives access to your Business Profile. Nothing else.

Why do you need read, write, edit and delete permissions?

This is Google's standard wording for any service that helps manage a Business Profile. Google doesn't let apps ask for "replies and posts only", so the access screen always lists all actions.

In practice, this access lets AI Agent analyze your profile, reply to reviews, publish updates and fill in your business info. TrustHero never deletes your profile or listings and doesn't make changes you can't undo. Important changes always wait for your approval.

Will you see my Gmail or other Google data?

No. Besides your name, email and profile picture, we only get access to your Business Profile. Your emails, files, contacts and other Google services stay private.

Will I still own my profile?

Yes. You stay the owner, and TrustHero can't change who manages your profile.

Will AI Agent change anything without my approval?

AI Agent follows your settings. Important changes always wait for your approval, and everything he does is shown in Updates.

Can I disconnect later?

Yes, anytime from your Google Account security settings. AI Agent pauses, and your profile stays as it is.

Do I still need to add AI Agent as a manager of my profile?

No. We invite him automatically when you connect your business. If you already added aiagent@trusthero.io as a manager before, that's fine too, nothing else to do.

Who is aiagent@trusthero.io in my profile's managers?

That's AI Agent's service account. AI Agent keeps working without it, but with manager access he can do more for you, for example help if Google suspends your profile. We recommend keeping it.
